From Winter Wonderland activities to educational exhibits and sporting events, there’s something for everyone. Let’s dive into all the activities you can do your kids to kick off 2024!

 

2024 Philly Auto Show

January 13th – 21st

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Price: Children ages 6 and under are FREE with an adult | Children ages 7-12 are $12 per ticket | General Admission $20 | Additional Senior (62+), Military, and Group discounts available

View new, exotic, classic, muscle, custom, and antique cars from all around the world at the Pennsylvania Convention Center for the 2024 Philly Auto Show. Attendees are able to walk around, admire, and take photos of the cars with appearances from local radio hosts, actors, and Philadelphia athletes like Bernie Parent, Vince Papale, Tommy Greene, and more! This is perfect for the Hot Wheels or toy car enthusiast family member in your life. Be on the lookout for a few of Hollywood's most famous cars while you’re there, such as the Shaggin’ Wagon from Dumb and Dumber, the Delorian from Back to the Future, and cars featured in Fast and Furious. Check out their new ‘off-road’ section and take a test ride in one of the many new EV automobile options.

 

 

 

Attend a Philadelphia Flyers or Philadelphia 76ers Game

Indoor Mini Golf at Linvilla Orchards

 January 13th – March 9th

Location: Media, PA

Price: Online Tickets $8 | In-person Tickets $10

This interactive 18-hole exhibit takes kids on an educational journey to learn about our environment. Each hole has a unique design and information related to the environment with topics such as food chains, dinosaur extinction, evolution, tropical rain forests, and more! This is perfect for kids of all ages regardless of skill level, with ticket prices starting at just $8. Purchasing tickets online is highly recommended to ensure that you are guaranteed a tee time.

Linvilla Orchards is also home to some amazing baked goods for you to take back home when you leave!

 

 

Ice Skating at Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest

Open until end of February

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Price: $5 per session (90 minutes) | Skate rentals are available for $12

Blue Cross RiverRink in Penns Landing is a prime ice-skating spot in the city of Philadelphia. Attendees can expect to skate around on real ice surrounded by picturesque views of the Delaware River and holiday lights still hugging the nearby trees. The RiverRink also offers private cabin and firepit rentals for small groups. Kick up your skates with a warm drink and s'mores kit from one of the concessions stands or grab something a little bigger from Chickie’s and Pete’s or Black Iron BBQ. Your kids will want to play all of the boardwalk and arcade games Winterfest has to offer! Independence Blue Cross also offers a variety of discounts to Independence Blue Cross members, military and first responder discounts, and current college students with ID.

Visit Giggleberry Fair

Open everyday starting at 10AM

Location: Lahaska, PA (Peddler’s Village)

Price: Tickets starting at $6

Located in Upper Bucks County, Giggleberry Fair is an indoor fun center for young children! The indoor facility is centered by Giggleberry Mountain, which is a massive three-story obstacle course and maze suitable for children 12 and under. If that’s a little too much for your toddler, try Giggle Discovers, a space specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers to create puppet shows, interact with water activities, fish, learn fire safety activities, or take a ride on the Giggles Carousel. You could also find yourself in the game room featuring over 40 new and unique games! Don’t forget to grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants Peddler’s Village has to offer on your way home.
