Community Involvement
Giving back to make a difference.
At American Heritage, we live by the values of community. We give back to where we live by fundraising and supporting events. With the support of our members, American Heritage has earned recognition from peer credit unions as a national leader for charitable involvement.
We make donations on request to local, national, and international causes. The Board of Directors supports World Council initiatives and disaster victims through CUNA Foundation on an “as-needed” basis throughout the year.
In addition to working with third-party not-for-profit organizations, American Heritage has developed a number of community involvement and assistance programs including:

American Heritage developed the Adopt-A-Family program to help community members during the holiday season.

American Heritage Books for Kids program provides books for children and families to promote literacy.
Busia Orphanage

Scholarships
American Heritage is proud to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors enrolling in an accredited undergraduate program or trade school.
Rhapsody & Rhythm Walk-A-Thon
Participants can walk as little or as much as they want daily to achieve their 5K goal. Any participant who raises over $50 will receive an exclusive Rhapsody & Rhythm t-shirt!
