American Heritage Credit Union Celebrates Its Associates During Annual Employee Appreciation Day

American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”) recently held its annual Employee Appreciation Day to celebrate its more than 600 associates. This tradition, which included a themed lunch, games, and more, all executed by managers and supervisors, is looked upon fondly by all associates. Employee Appreciation Day is a way for management to thank their teams and celebrate their accomplishments from the previous year.
This year’s theme, Summer Road Trip, encouraged associates to dress in appropriate vacation and summer-related gear. Departments were split into teams and named after iconic destinations across the United States, such as the Alamo, the French Quarter, and Yellowstone National Park. Each team competed in various games during their lunch breaks. The games were held both in-person and online, offering an opportunity for associates off-site and in the branches to participate and contribute to their teams. Managers also delivered lunch to all the branches and off-site offices.
Employee Appreciation Day is one of several examples of associates coming together for a greater cause. There are several committees that hold events throughout the year for American Heritage associates to participate in, such as the Adopt-A-Family Committee and the Green Team. The Adopt-A-Family Committee holds various fundraisers throughout the year to raise money to support needy families during the holiday season, while the Green Team performs highway clean-ups and holds donation drives of clothing and other gently-used items.
“Employee Appreciation Day is without a doubt one of our organization’s favorite days of the year,” said Bruce K. Foulke, President & CEO of American Heritage Credit Union. “Everyone enjoys the games, lunch, and camaraderie, and our managers, supervisors, and executive office have an opportunity to thank and celebrate the teams and associates throughout the organization. The success of American Heritage is directly linked to our associates’ commitment to our mission and providing an optimal experience for our membership. I thank them for their hard work and dedication every day.”
