American Heritage Credit Union ("American Heritage") is partnering with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh ("FHLBank of Pittsburgh") to offer first-time homebuyer programs to help members afford and better navigate the homebuying process. American Heritage members can receive up to $15,000 through the annual First Front Door grant to use toward homebuying costs. Additionally, American Heritage offers the My CU Home Connection™ Program, a comprehensive homebuying and selling service.

First Front Door (FFD) $15,000 Grant:

In the First Front Door Grant Program, American Heritage works with the FHLBank of Pittsburgh to assist first-time homebuyers with the down payment and closing costs for their new home with up to $15,000 in funding. Borrowers who contribute $1,500 of their own funds will be eligible for a maximum grant of $15,000. These grants are designed to help first-time homebuyers who meet certain income requirements with down payments and closing costs associated with the purchase and financing of a home.

Grant funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Funds will become available on May 19, 2026. Those who are interested in the program and deemed eligible will be automatically enrolled by completing a pre-approval for a mortgage with American Heritage.

First Front Door KEYS (FFD KEYS) $15,000 Grant:

American Heritage is proud to also partner with FHLBank of Pittsburgh on the KEYS Grant of the First Front Door Program. To receive this grant worth up to $15,000, borrowers must be a minority or first-generation first-time homebuyer and contribute $1,500 or more towards their home's down payment and closing costs.

Grant funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Funds will become available on April 7, 2026. Those who are interested in the program and deemed eligible will be automatically enrolled by completing a pre-approval for a mortgage with American Heritage.
