Nothing shines like American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”) during the holiday season. American Heritage invites the community to visit its main campus at 2060 Red Lion Road in Northeast Philadelphia on Saturday, November 29 at 7:00 PM to enjoy more than 400,000 lights and holiday displays in its annual Grand Illumination kick-off event.

Each year, the American Heritage campus buildings and trees are illuminated, and multiple light displays are featured throughout the campus grounds. Community members are welcome to stroll the campus, take photos, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season.

Grand Illumination Kick-Off Event

The free annual Grand Illumination event supports the Kids-N-Hope Foundation and will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Attendees can enjoy the sounds of the holiday season with a concert featuring the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale and the New Jersey Fifes and Drums, with the evening capping off with a firework symphony immediately following the illumination. Actors posing as Benjamin Franklin and Betty Ross will also be in attendance, helping to host the event.

The Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale has become a staple of Grand Illumination. Known as “America’s preeminent boychoir and men’s chorale,” the group has received widespread critical acclaim, toured the world, and recorded with internationally renowned orchestras and soloists. The New Jersey Fifes and Drums brings additional colonial flair to the event. This group “strives to present as authentic a repertoire as the most current, exhaustive research can allow.” The uniforms that this group wears are ones that would have been worn by the field musicians of the 2nd New Jersey Regiment.

During the evening, the Kids-N-Hope Foundation will present its annual donation to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In the spirit of giving, attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food item to help American Heritage reach its goal of 20,000 pounds for its annual Spirit of Giving holiday food drive.

Free Month-Long Grand Illumination

Our Grand Illumination features more than 400,000 lights, two 40-foot illuminated trees, and hundreds of illuminated wreaths and decorations. All community members are welcome to visit the American Heritage Red Lion Road campus between November 29 and New Year’s Day to enjoy the decorations and take family photos. You can enter through our Red Lion Road or Jamison Road entrances. Free parking is available on site and our lights will shine daily beginning at dusk each night starting on November 29.

“Grand Illumination has been a long-standing tradition here in our community, and each year we look forward to the joy it brings to families in the Philadelphia area, and the support that it provides for the Kids-N-Hope Foundation," stated Bruce K. Foulke, President & CEO of American Heritage Credit Union and Chairman of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. “We can’t wait to see everyone there to celebrate the start of the holiday season!”
