American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”) was recently honored nationally by CUNA’s Marketing & Business Development Council, and regionally by the Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association with multiple honors for excellence in member communications.  Additionally, American Heritage associate Holly Benedetto was honored as State Ambassador by the CrossState Credit Union Association for the 2021-22 year.

CUNA Marketing & Business Development Diamond Awards

The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network comprised of over 1,200 credit union marketing and business development professionals, presents Diamond Awards annually to credit unions in over 35 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.  This year, American Heritage won Diamond Awards for the following categories: Brand Awareness, Direct Mail Single and Series, Email (Single or Series), Membership Marketing, One-Time Event, and Website. The One-Time Event category was awarded for the Kids-N-Hope Foundation’s Labor of Love Virtual Ride or Stride event. The Website category honored American Heritage’s relaunch of the credit union website.

CrossState Credit Union Association Ambassador Contest

The CrossState Credit Union Association (“CrossState”, formerly PCUA and the NJ Credit Union League) developed the Credit Union Ambassador Contest to help younger generations learn about the history, philosophy, and operation of credit unions. For more than 40 years, this contest has helped open many doors to credit union careers.

Holly Benedetto, Digital Marketing Content Developer at American Heritage, represented the Philadelphia Chapter of Credit Unions and was one of several finalists who won this regional contest before advancing to the state finals. The finalists completed a written exam before presenting speeches about various credit union topics. As the state winner, Benedetto will speak at Association-sponsored education sessions and leadership conferences and encourage young credit union professionals throughout the region to participate in their credit unions and local communities.

Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association Benjamin Franklin “Benny” Awards

For nearly 50 years, the Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association (PDMA) has bestowed Benny Awards to regional agencies, corporations, and non-profits for excellence in direct response marketing as well as digital communications.  At its recent annual awards ceremony, American Heritage was honored with six Benny Awards in the following categories: Broadcast TV Campaign, Interactive TV, Sales/Financial Blog, Outdoor/Point-of-Purchase Campaign, Non-Profit Integrated Media Campaign, and Website Creative. American Heritage was recognized in the Non-Profit Integrated Media Campaign category for its communication efforts regarding PPE donations to local hospitals during the COVID-19 crisis.

“As a member-owned credit union, we are always striving for best-in-class, cutting edge methods to provide personalized communications to our membership, as well as share the importance of the credit union movement with the greater community,” stated Bruce K. Foulke, President & CEO of American Heritage.  “We are equally proud our associate Holly Benedetto, who will represent the credit union movement and its commitment to young professionals throughout our state.”

"We are proud to be recognized by our peers in the Credit Union Movement as well as among so many regional organizations for communications excellence,” stated Mike Dinneen, Senior Vice President of Marketing for American Heritage. “Credit unions play such an important and evolving role in our society, and we are honored to be recognized in our efforts to communicate that to the members and communities we serve.”
